Retail Manager, La Embajada

La Embajada is a new independent luxury specialty store located in the heart of Clarksville. The space is dedicated to mid-Modern and contemporary design from Mexico with a focus on quality hand-made goods and related custom experiences.

La Embajada is seeking a professional, motivated, experienced and energetic Retail Manager with extensive knowledge in luxury customer service and clienteling.

What you’ll do:

  • General operational management with focus on staff hiring, motivating, scheduling and training
  • Maintain exceptional store organization, cleanliness and merchandising standards at all times through delegation and assignment of tasks
  • Customer acquisition, outreach and clientele maintenance through development of personal customer relationships
  • Meet or exceed monthly company sales goals and target profitability through accountability of staff to achieve individual goals
  • Resolve customer issues in a timely manner with courtesy, respect and good ethics
  • Exceptional follow through to drive tasks to completion
  • Communicate effectively and articulately with a creative approach to problem solving and ability to disseminate information swiftly
  • Impeccable professional appearance with eye for quality, a great sense of style, and knowledge of interiors, travel and food
  • Develop expert knowledge of all brands, products, pricing, systems and procedures, ensuring team is trained on high level of knowledge
  • Must be self motivated with a strong work ethic, entrepreneurial spirit and active participation on sales floor
  • Ability to remain authoritative while continually motivate staff with strong leadership skills and fostering of team environment
  • Contribute to outstanding working environment with a positive attitude, professionalism and willingness to assist others


  • Minimum 3 years experience in a retail managerial role
  • High school diploma required- Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communications – Spanish language skills an additional asset
  • Background knowledge and interest of Latin America strongly preferred
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
