We would love to talk to you about this fantastic opportunity.Manager (RN) 24-Hour Emergency Care(FSED) McAllenWhat you will do in this role:Provide leadershipwithin the Emergency Department in orderto meet and exceed organization/departmental expectationsParticipatesin interviewing, hiring and evaluation process.Evaluations are completed in a timely manner and by due dates.Ensuresnew staff is preceptor and assimilate/become engaged in timely and competentmanner.Providesleadership related to achieving department goals, conflict resolution, coachingand counseling, learning/adhering to policies and procedures and effectivecommunication.Responsiblefor daily staffing patterns and pre-scheduling of department staff.

Makesongoing/daily adjustments to meet census staying within allotted guidelines andPlus targets.Investigatesand follow-up on all patient complaints/concerns.

Providespositive feedback to staff/area of complaint/concern, voiced by patient.

Consultscomplaints/concerns to the ED Director.Provides resourcesand education of staff regarding clinical documentation.

Demonstratescompetency in all computer based management programs for which he/she hasaccess.Assist with patientcare responsibility when indicated by patient census.Effectively assiststhe Director of ED in communicating and implementing recommendations that havebeen identified to improve unit dynamics and patient outcome.Available as aresource person for staff regarding appropriate hospital and departmentalpolicies and proceduresPerforms dailypatient rounds on all patients and reports any issues to director.Oversees all ProcessImprovement which includes unit specific projects, Core Measures and allregulatory complianceQualifications What you will need for this role:Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.BSN required2 years recent clinical experience and competence in Emergency Medicine and/or Critical Care.2 years supervisory experience requiredCurrent Texas state license (RN)American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support course(BCLS or BLS) required American Red Cross of American Heart Association Advanced Life Support course (ACLS or ALS) and certification required American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support course(PALS) certification required TNCC required Healthcare Corporation of America (HCA) is a community of 94,000 Registered Nurses and 38,000 active physician partners.
