Sales and Operations Manager

Citizens Development Center is a private, non-profit agency that provides training and employment services for individuals with disabilities.The Sales/Operations Manager position is responsible for supervising production supervisors and implementing the Work Center Program’s sales, marketing and customer service functions including forecasting sales, prospecting, and achieving or exceeding the annual budget.

The Sales/Operations Manager will have the highest integrity and inspire confidence and loyalty from customers and staff.Major Responsibilities include: grow existing business and develop positive and strategic relationships with current accounts; identify prospects, cold call, negotiate and turn them into customers; foster an understanding of the agency mission and clients and serve as a spokesperson; maintain a pipeline and closure rate that will ensure budget is met or exceeded; cost jobs using MODAPTS as needed; together with Lead Supervisor, ensure customer quality expectations and deadlines are met; maintain client contact database; maintain frequent communications with staff, customers and executive director; serve on the management team; conduct month end inventories and more frequently as needed; and manage inventory when needed.Qualifications: The ideal candidate is a seasoned, deeply committed sales professional with warehouse and customer service experience.

She/he has strong leadership skills and is ambitious and energetic.

Successful candidates will also have: exceptional people skills and an ability and desire to work with a broad range of individuals in diverse industries; excellent leadership skills, speaking and presentation skills and writing skills; strong analytical skills for prospecting, marketing and trend analysis; ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; willingness and ability to travel frequently and continuously within the DFW Metroplex; flexibility and the ability to work with deadlines and work well under pressure; and ability to be independent and self-motivated, while being open to direction and guidance.Experience: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience as an accomplished sales professional, sales management experience, experience in the manufacturing sector and access to Directors/VPs of Purchasing, Human Resources or Operations.

Marketing experience is a plus.Education: B.S., B.A.

or equivalent is preferred.Job Type: Full-timePay: $47,000.00 per year
