Senior Manager of Marketing and Outreach

4a American Alliance Of Artists And Audiences

This is a Contract position in San Antonio, TX posted October 21, 2021.

Position Summary The new position of Senior Manager Marketing and Outreach will, in collaboration with other members of the 4A Arts team, develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and outreach plan for (1) engaging arts and cultural organizations and artists to post events on our website and offer discounts to our members, (2) attracting users to utilize our sites search features to find programming, and (3) converting users to paid members for access to discounts and other features.

This position will play a critical role in helping 4A Arts to attract and engage an audience of arts and cultural organizations, artists, users, and members.

Responsibilities Develop targeted messaging and ensure consistency across all channels.

Develop and implement strategies for direct outreach to arts and cultural organizations, individual artists, and regional, state, and local arts councils and service organizations.

Develop and implement membership strategies.

Develop content for social media channels, newsletters, and website features.

Develop and implement a social media strategy for platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

Monitor social media channels and manage interactions.

Develop and implement a plan for paid social media and online advertising.

Research and develop relationships with media outlets.

Develop earned media tactics that increase media visibility.

Recommend tactics forsearch engine optimization(SEO).

Develop and manage key marketing performance metrics and provide regular progress reports and analysis.

Monitor and share trends happening in the arts, new media, and popular culture to inform the Marketing Strategy Recommend allocation of marketing budget among paid advertising, consultants, and temporary/part-time staffing.

Manage interns.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities While we do not expect one person to have all of the following qualifications, the successful candidate will possess many of thefollowingskills: Experience in planning and executing marketing strategies, media campaigns, and successful public relations efforts in a business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) environment.

Experience with membership campaigns.

Experience in a startup environment.

Experience promoting a web platform a plus.

Experience or interest in the arts and cultural sector.

Experience with email, digital and social media marketing.

Proficiency with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Hootsuite, or other social media management and analytics tools.

Experience with Mailchimp or other email management and scheduling tools.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) for digital promotions and content.

Skilled at using analytics to assess marketing efficacy.

Ability to write in an engaging voice appropriate for different platforms and target audiences.

Graphic design skills a plus.

Collaborative, inclusive and focused.

Education and Experience Undergraduate degree and 5 years of professional marketing/outreach experience, or equivalent education and experience.
