Job Summary
This position is responsible for performing research and assists in analyzing financial and health data, including medical algorithms to determine health care expenditures, medical and economic outcomes, and cost containment strategies. Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.
Responsibilities
1.Performs research and assists in analyzing financial and health data, including medical algorithms to determine health care expenditures, medical and economic outcomes, and cost containment strategies.
2.Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.
3.Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.
4.Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
5.Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements.
6.May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues.
7.May directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools.
8.Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with co-workers, management, customers, etc.
9.Comply with HIPAA, Diversity Principles, Corporate Integrity, Compliance Program policies and other applicable corporate and departmental policies.
10.Maintain complete confidentiality of company business.
11.Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
*Bachelor Degree and 5 years experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics including 1 year experience in data analysis and information reporting relating to healthcare data, including pharmacy OR 7 years’ experience in health care services, statistical analysis, or insurance industry economics including 1 year experience in data analysis and information reporting relating to healthcare data, including pharmacy.
