Sr Director Total Rewards


This is a Full-time position in Westlake, TX posted February 12, 2021.


  • Drive the strategic design and execution of company compensation, benefits and wellness programs across U.S. and Canada operations. This includes executive pay, employee equity plans, short-term and long-term incentives, and sales incentive programs.
  • Develop and lead the benefits and wellness strategy for the company, including defining competitive benefits, managing rising costs, and planning all aspects of employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, HSA, and FSA, and retirement plans.
  • Ensure all compensation, benefits and wellness plans are market competitive, aligned with business goals, and in compliance with company policies and evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Define the total reward strategy and develop plans to continually improve offerings, drive standardization throughout the company, optimize ways of working, and deliver on continuous improvement in our processes and policies.
  • Lead the development and execution of communications and change management plans.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of compensation programs, policies, guidelines and procedures. Recommend revisions or new plans that ensure market competitiveness, are cost effective and consistent with the strategy and philosophy of the company.
  • Partner with HRIS leadership in the development, implementation, and maintenance of compensation tools and systems.
  • Provide leadership to team members; actively participate in performance management and development process and as part of broader HR leadership.
  • Lead executive compensation, including developing plans and proposal for the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors and executive leadership team.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external vendors, consultants, and business partners, including brokers, providers, and administrators.

Skills & Experiences:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business or related field required.
  • 8+ years of experience in compensation and/or benefits leadership role(s).
  • 12+ years of experience designing, overseeing and working on compensation and benefits programs.
  • Experience building and implementing comprehensive compensation and benefits programs for both U.S. and Canada, including in depth experience with executive compensation and internal equity programs.
  • Proven track record in effectively managing and influencing multiple stakeholders and developing credibility quickly with the business.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and experience in the design, implementation and administration of compensation and benefit programs.
  • Project management and change management skills.
  • Strategic mindset with excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills; ability to develop relationships, collaborate effectively and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Drive to independently research, formulate and present ways to improve company overall benefits and compensation programs.
  • CCP, CBP or other applicable certifications preferred.
  • Experience working in medium to large size companies with multiple locations is preferred.
