Sr. Engineering Manager

Sr. Engineering Manager – Remote

As an engineering leader at this company, you will be responsible for bringing world class products and features to market. You will manage and be responsible for all engineering activity for your team. In this role, you will work with top engineers, and get to interact with cutting edge technical teams and with global enterprise customers. The role is autonomous, dynamic and requires a balance to craft the long-term roadmap and deliverables, as this company well as sustain existing releases for areas that your team works on.
 
You will coordinate development activities such as functional and design reviews, and project planning. You will work with leadership to establish development priorities for the product and the team and help recruit top talent for positions in the team. Responsibilities include cross team architectural reviews, mentoring engineers and guiding them to build their career paths. You will be responsible for helping engineers set goals for performance management and career growth. You will work closely with Product management to plan and execute key strategic initiatives and with QA and DevOps to deliver a clustered, highly available world class distributed software platform on the cloud.
 
Requirements

• You have experience building and scaling engineering teams from 1 to 40+
• Ability to attract top engineers and develop high caliber talent
• 5-15 years of Experience managing distributed development teams to deliver enterprise and/or SaaS based products
• Prioritize and Set team agenda to deliver goals working with product leaders
• Solid understanding of data management systems and/or distributed systems and building services on top of containers
• Strong Collaborative Team player that will work with other departments (PM, Sales, Support)
• Degree in Computer Science, or a related field (BS/MS/Ph.D.)
• Experience in launching products on public clouds is a huge plus.

This role will require occasional travel and in-person meetings.
