Manager, Contracts for the Next Generator Inceptor (NGI) Program working within our Integrated Missile Defense Solutions (IMDS) Program Area Directorate.

We are looking for a passionate Contracts professional to accept a high degree of responsibility within a complex development program.The candidate will lead the NGI Contracts team which is responsible for managing a strategic and competitive NGI Subcontract with our major Prime Contractor in support of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

The candidate will be the primary contract lead for all contractual and programmatic support with responsibility for establishing and maintaining trust and cooperation while ensuring the proposed and negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies and guidelines.

The candidate will lead a contract team of experienced professionals and provide support in performance development.The candidate will have a business acumen and program knowledge to understand programs performance, provide guidance and influence outcomes to achieve program and financial objectives.

The candidate is responsible for managing a design, development, integration, and testing cost reimbursement contract (CPAF, CPIF, and CPFF) which requires reporting performance and tracking progress to ensure that the program achieves the stated criteria in the contract in order to meet the performance/schedule incentives.

The candidate will lead the PMR and iPMR for contracts.The candidate will lead the change management process in order to recognize and eliminate ambiguities or unauthorized changes that could result in cost overruns, delivery and performance problems, and/or schedule delays in this development program.

The candidate is expected to deal with issues that require detailed information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem from difficult and moderately complex.The candidate will review Request for Proposals (RFPs), Contract Change Proposals, and Request for Equitable Adjustments (REA) for requirements and risks, ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements, addresses risks, while meeting company policies and standards.Sr.

Manager will be required to work closely with Program Managers, Business/Estimating, and Office of General Counsel.

The selected candidate will advise management of contractual rights/obligations and the means to mitigate contractual/program risks.The Sr.

Manager, along with the Program Office, will need to provide oversight and establish a robust change management process in order to manage a significant number of changes during the period of performance of this development program.The ideal candidate shall:* Develop customer engagement strategies necessary for successful contract execution and resolution with Prime.* Ensure compliance with flow down requirements as the subcontractor in support of the Prime.* Establish a close working relationship with the Program Office and supporting Functional Leads, as well as the Prime Contractor.* Handle all contracts duties resulting in achieving program and business area objectives.* Lead coordination of payment documentation with Prime to ensure compliant and timely payment in support of AOP.* Contract lead for NGI Program in all contract pursuits, proposals, REAs, and negotiations.* Seek innovative contracting techniques to ensure mutually benefitting outcomes for both Prime and MDA.* Strong interpersonal relationship skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally to achieve Program objectives* Take ownership of tough issues and use knowledge of situational dynamics to establish personal engagement strategy.* Work across the enterprise to shape opinions of key stakeholders, balance competing priorities while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.* Recognize business and contractual issues in program performance, implement solutions; carry to completion, while exercising good judgment as a leader.Huntsville, AL location preferred but this position can be based at an RMD site with remote work within commuting distance to a Raytheon Missiles & Defense field office may be considered.

Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of the time.Required Skills:* 12 years of professional experience; preferably in contract administration, program management, including proposal preparation and contract negotiation for development, production and service contracts.* Prior experience in management of complex contracts and/or subcontracts.* A proven track record of success in contracting including Federal Acquisition* Regulations (FAR) terms and conditions.* Managing and reporting on subcontract performance to Contracts and Program leadership.* Strong negotiations experience and demonstrated ability of cross-functional leadership within a geographically dispersed team.* Active DOD US Government Security Clearance (Secret).Required Education:Bachelor’s degree.

Preferably in Business, Finance, or related field.Desired Skills:* Advanced degrees.
