The Senior Manager, FP&A will play a key role in leading the Corporate FP&A processes of Oportun.

S/He will support all aspects of financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis required to inform and influence critical business decisions.


Planning and Forecasting: Lead the monthly and annual processes to produce consolidated financial forecasts that provide a roadmap for the company to achieve its strategic objectives.

Reporting: Prepare dashboards and reporting packages for senior management and the Board of Directors to provide insight into financial performance and metrics that drive the business.

Collaborate closely with the Financial Systems and Accounting teams to ensure data is accurate, timely and relevant.

Financial Analysis: Conduct financial cost/benefit analyses to support capital allocation decisions around growth and strategic initiatives.

Other: Other ad hoc support and analyses as needed


Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or other analytical discipline 7+ years of experience in a finance, analytical or operational role, preferably in the financial services industry Exceptional organizational and communications skills Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated Capacity to learn quickly and execute accurately Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and ability to navigate a three-statement financial model.

Strong PowerPoint and executive presentation skills.

Expertise with data visualization tools such as PowerBI a plus.
