Your Opportunity

The Distributed Communications Content Management team is part of the Digital Cross Enterprise Platforms organization. The team is responsiblefor digital communication templates and content that support sales, marketing, operations, regulatory and service communications to client and prospects. The communications serve as critical touch points for Charles Schwab employees focused on increasing client engagement, promoting client retention, managing relationships and cultivating prospects.

TheSr. Specialist Product Managementis akey member of the Distributed Communications Content Management team.We are looking for a product manager who has the unique combination of technical or product skills as well as business and marketing savvy. The candidate will be responsible for digital communications content and platform support. Specifically, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the content strategy and execution, ongoing content governance strategy, understanding communication usage, identifying opportunities to optimize template library and driving end user engagement. They will work with a broad set of cross-functional internalchannel partners. This position requires strong cross-functional collaboration with internal partners to support the creation, adoption and evolution of the content strategy in support of the platform.

Exceptional relationship management, project management, comfort with technical details, attention to detail, independent problem-solving, solid communication skills, and a client-focused attitude are essential qualities for this position. You must also be a great cross-functional partner given the dependency from other partners and stakeholders.

What you are good at

  • Assisting in developing content strategy and governance and evolving the plan to meet business need
  • Executing on existing strategy while looking for future areas of improvement
  • Partnering with the platform team and product leadership on marketing technology platform vision and strategy to ensure launch alignment across teams, functions and platforms
  • Providing input to Distributed Communications Content roadmap to drive desired business outcomes
  • Providing ongoing platform template support to business unit teams using Distributed Communications platform
  • Participating in and encouraging process improvements; leverages and shares best practices and tools
  • Assisting in quarterly business usage reviews for external and internal partners to drive awareness and effectiveness
  • Serving as subject matter expert for digital communications platform content or templates including usage and questions from internal partners
  • Identifying improvements which enhance user experience of Schwabs digital communications platforms, and help to develop new ideas based on market analytics and interactions with stakeholders and users
  • Working cross-functionally with engineering, design, analytics, product management, operations, and marketing to design and execute platform content growth and use initiatives
  • Assisting with reporting and data analytics
  • Supporting front door management including facilitation and intake of new project requests
  • Supporting production support queue, escalations and questions from service teams and users
  • Gathering and documenting input from users and stakeholders for future functional changes, identifying short term and long-term solutions
  • Translating user and client needs into product vision and define detailed requirements for consumption by technology teams
  • Participating in user acceptance testing as appropriate
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance of products with the help of Legal and Compliance
  • Helping to develop risk controls and following them appropriately
  • Staying current with industry best practices and market opportunities
  • What you have

  • 2-5 years of experience with increasing responsibilities spanning a range of digital, business, technical and strategic roles
  • A Record of Accomplishment: Advanced experience in product management / platform management roles with record of launching products or services
  • A Technical Background: Marketing technology, digital content publishing or distributed communications platform experience with a keen understanding of broader business needs and strategy
  • A Focus on Execution: You have the organizational and analytical skills to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects
  • Strategic Intuition: You can synthesize external and internal data and team feedback to develop a coherent roadmap for our growing product needs
  • An Analytical Approach: You can properly evaluate the success or failure of features and use data to guide next steps.
