If you are ready for a career in Fashion, Step into Melrose Family Fashions.General Purpose of PositionAs the leader of the management team, the Store Manager has ultimate responsibility for driving business results through effective selection, training and coaching of the store team in the key areas of sales, customer service, merchandise presentation, operations, human resources and loss prevention.

The Store Manager is a leader who exercises judgment and uses discretion to solve problems, make informed decision and manage wisely.

A Store Manager is a role model and leads by example.FOCUS RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage the performance of Assistant Store Managers and Associates using established Company policies and standards including but not limited to those outlined in the company’s Handbook, as well as merchandising, operations and human resources guides.Recruit and hire the most qualified applicants to meet the store’s needs.Ensure that all associates are provided with proper orientation, training and coaching to maximize the associate and customer experience and drive sales.Provide leadership and guidance to the management team in solving problems that affect the store’s customer service, efficiency, and productivity.Drive customer service by coaching desired behaviors.Seek opportunities and solutions to improve overall store experience with emphasis on greeting, friendliness and cleanliness of store.Actively address any associate relations issues and ensure all Human Resources and employment policies are being followed within the storeProactively communicate with the Regional Support team and Assistant Store Managers to build partnerships that help achieve greater results.Work closely with team of Assistant Store Managers to ensure proper scheduling guidelines and best practices are being followed in order to maximize the available workforce.Manage staffing initiatives to meet scheduling needs and weekend hours execution; maintain proper staffing levels to meet store’s needs with planning for calculated turnover; ensure Associate Availability is up-to-dateManage Attendance programMaintain Your communication boards/breakroom standardsSafeguard company assets by properly securing the facility and all areas containing sensitive or highly confidential information.Any other tasks when necessarySKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:Ability to provide outstanding customer serviceAbility to develop and train work force, build relationships, utilize skills of workforce most appropriatelyAbility to merchandise and manage store operations effectivelyAbility to process information/merchandise through computer system and register systemAbility to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environmentAbility to maintain records and documentation pertaining to work forceAbility to communicate in a clear, concise, understandable manner, and listen attentively to othersREQUIREMENTS:HS Diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Will take into consideration sufficient management experience in lieu of Diploma/GED.Store Managero 1-2 years of retail management experience in a large volume store; $1.3M & aboveAssociate Managero 1 year of retail experience in a slow-medium volume store; $1.2M & belowAvailability to meet minimum scheduling requirements for store manager position including nights, weekends and holdaysStrong communication skills (verbal & written), including strong relationship building skillsTravel required – as neededCome join our team.
