With team members across the US, the Marketing and Communications team at Learfield IMG College is a new organization bringing together several growth engines for the company. We tell our story in compelling and relevant ways to our various constituents which include marketing leaders and brand sponsors, university athletic departments, and internal employee groups. We connect brands to fans and bring our partners leading technology, data analytics, and media products, all with a rich legacy and deep understanding of sports, events, and entertainment.

We are looking for a strategic leader who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and build a new capability in the organization. Focused on driving pipeline for new and renewal opportunity, the VP will create and execute campaigns to new and existing clients for our college sports marketing offerings. You will work cross-functionally, developing a new capability for the company with a marketing technology stack aligned to the strategic objectives. You must be able to work independently, manage competing priorities, think strategically, and execute in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The VP will be a key member of the senior staff in marketing and participate in the cross-company Marketing Council.

Responsibilities

  • Provides creative and long-term strategic oversight to our acquisition and nurturing campaigns to current and potential brand clients and other stakeholders.
  • Manages day-to-day operation of the client acquisition engine, related systems, and campaign activations.
  • Leads the implementation and maintenance of our technology platforms used to execute our strategy in partnership with IT and sales acceleration. These systems include a marketing automation system, the proposal development system, project management team, and our public corporate website.
  • Hires and develops talent in this functional area, designing job descriptions and organizational structures to best serve the work. Serves as a leader on the marketing team driving innovation and collaboration across the organization. Identifies training needs and provides coaching. Serves as a thought leader on campaign development and execution to serve our corporate needs.
  • Successfully manages third-party agencies and internal stakeholders to optimize outcomes and set priorities. Serves on various marketing related project teams and initiatives..
  • Provides end-to-end visibility to the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing through reporting dashboards, analytics, and instrumentation of campaigns and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience leading national campaigns.
  • 7+ years developing strategy and budgets, and presenting those in written and oral form to senior leaders.
  • 3+ years as the senior most marketer for a brand or product line.
  • 3+ years of experience working with chief financial officers and other business leaders on prioritization decisions.
  • 3+ years of experience with digital demand generation, email marketing, marketing automation systems, customer relationship management systems, and marketing analytics and reporting tools with evidence of utilizing data insights in decision making.
  • Be passionate about clients and insatiably curious about their needs.
  • Must be able to access and synthesize data and insights to make high-velocity decisions and have the follow-through to see implementation lead to results.
  • Ability to professionally and effectively communicate in writing and verbally to those with a wide range of skill levels and varying position levels within the business.
  • Ability to design and deliver presentations to senior leaders, vendors, and customers.
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity and trust in interpersonal interactions and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • A passion for serving and helping others should be evident in their work.
  • Outstanding people management skills.
