The VP of Market Development is a Sr.

Leadership role with a top-of-funnel mission, to generate highly-targeted demand for Olive using account-based marketing strategies.

With a laser-focused aim at the top 270 health systems, the VP of Market Development creates, oversees and reports on campaigns such as (but not limited to) customized email outreach, LinkedIn targeting, direct mailers, unsolicited proposals, phone campaigns and regional trade show engagements.

These campaigns are referred to as hand-to-hand combat, honing in on the key contacts in the top 270 market.

Success is opportunity creation with corporate-level customer executives, specifically within the top 270 health systems.
Requirements
This is not cold calling 2.0.

We need more than prospecting and man-hours in order to fill our pipeline with the right meetings for our sales team.

While traditional marketing approaches are important for branding, consistency and messaging, the VP of Market Development leads more acute campaigns, designed for virality to take a market by storm.
Hire and coach a team of Market Development Executives in accordance with the Market Development Manager Develop campaign strategy for team to execute on to attract quality opportunities Build thought leadership and awareness campaigns to educate the market on the company’s POV, tied to key industry trends.

Report on campaign performance and the sales pipeline Strategize, build and execute integrated field campaigns that involve email marketing, direct mail marketing, and other channels as needed.

Serve as the liaison with the demand generation efforts of marketing to ensure top of funnel effectiveness.

Coordinate with the sales team on outreach activity; measurement of success against target objectives for campaigns and plays running in your team member’s territory.

Analyze sales data and leverage data to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in marketing or equivalent degree is required 7+ years of experience in leading a team in field marketing, field sales or account-based marketing Experience in healthcare or SaaS or enterprise software required Proven capability with Salesforce.com Entrepreneurially-minded, self-starter with creativity and the ability to work independently with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment Strong ability to communicate ideas and plans, as well as align with cross-functional teams in order to execute effectively Excellent organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and complete multiple assignments simultaneously Excellent ability to communicate cross functionally Skilled at building relationships with senior management and/or C-level executives Methodical and strategic
