# **Warehouse General Manager** Waco, TX, USA Req #455 Friday, February 5, 2021 **WAREHOUSE GENERAL MANAGER** ******|** ******JOB DESCRIPTION** ** G** **ENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES** At Magnolia, the Warehouse General Manager is responsible for driving efficiency, profitability, and guest satisfaction from the receipt of goods to order fulfillment. This position requires an individual with attention to detail and excellent communication skills to build relationships, drive productivity, and develop processes to achieve rigorous company goals. This position works from our Warehouse in Waco, Texas. ** REPORTING RELATIONSHIP** This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain. ** SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** This position has supervisory responsibilities. ** AVAILABILITY** * Full-time salaried position = 40+ hours per week ** ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** * Uphold Magnolia’s mission, vision, and values * Establish operational procedures to ensure the safety of Magnolia employees and participate in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities * Protect and inspect physical condition of warehouse and equipment and advise improvement opportunities and follow- through to ensure safety of equipment, building, and staff * Communicate with warehouse department managers and direct supervisor(s) to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, online and retail store sales, and product records control * Achieve warehouse operational goals and objectives via recommendations; strategic planning and review; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; problem solving; and the identification of trends * Meet warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions * Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving, labeling, storing, replenishing, transferring, picking, packing, and shipping product via equipment utilization and inventory management * Strategize allocation of warehouse resources to meet weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly business objectives, such as labor allocation, process improvement, and equipment or system upgrades, while managing overall cost and employee experience * Develop warehouse design, layout, product flow, and product handling systems, as well as evaluate, make a business case for, and recommend new equipment * Develop warehouse operations system improvements by analyzing process work-flow, staff and space requirements, and equipment layout, and implementing requisite changes, as required * Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures while complying with all OSHA and legal regulations * Develop and train Warehouse staff to ensure continued growth, maximize productivity, and prepare individuals for leadership opportunities in the future * Secure property by developing protection and access policies and procedures, and coordinating patrols with security department, as needed * Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks * Accomplish warehouse operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed * Perform other duties as assigned **QUALIFICATIONS** **To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.** * Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices * Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) * Experience with warehouse management software and databases * Excellent communication skills ** EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE** * Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university required; degree in Finance, MBA, and/or CPA designation preferred * 10+ years in progressively responsible warehouse management, staff planning, inventory management, process improvement fleet management, and truck logistics ** PHYSICAL DEMANDS** **The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
